How OLD can be refreshingly NEW

In this day of everything high tech and new-new-new. Chris and Gail Barnes have been daring enough -- and savvy enough -- to return their Smith’s Market to the “good ol’ days”.

With the recent remodeling of the exterior, the building at 211 South Main once again has the classic, distinctive look it had when the home of “Fine Fruits & Vegetables” first opened in 1933. In those early days, Smith’s Market didn’t occupy the entire building, but over the years the store’s popularity has led to several expansions.

During the most recent expansion, the Barnes also returned the interior to the nostalgic look and feel of the old fashioned produce market, while incorporating all the necessary modern day conveniences.

The Barnes utilized the services of Catalyst Creative Services to add refinements such as brand-enhancing in-store signage, collateral materials, product packaging, and higher-impact graphics for their wholesale delivery vans. The Catalyst-designed Smith’s Market web site reflects the vintage appeal and reinforces the branding. Catalyst also provided the Barnes a more effective, versatile, and easily useable e-mail management/distribution system for the Smith’s Market electronic newsletter.

As your mom used to say, and Smith’s Market continues to remind you: Eat Your Vegetables. (And visithttp://ieatmyveggies.com/)
